Questions people ask

Are these live exchange rates?

No. They are daily reference rates from the European Central Bank, and the date is shown next to the result.

Why is the rate different from my bank or another website?

Providers use different sources, times and margins. Compare the total you would receive after fees, not only the headline rate.

How are rates between two non-euro currencies worked out?

Both are converted through the euro, so USD to GBP is USD to EUR followed by EUR to GBP.
